Understanding your scan
CBCT (cone beam computed tomography) creates 3D images of dental and facial structures to help your dentist plan your care. Your dental professional determines whether a scan is needed and which imaging is appropriate for you.

Before your appointment
What to bring
Confirm with our team which documents or referral information you should bring to your appointment. If you have received instructions from your referring dental professional, have those available when discussing your visit with us.
Preparing for your visit
Follow the preparation instructions provided by your referring dental professional and our team. If anything is unclear, contact us before your appointment so we can help you prepare.
Remove jewelry
Before arriving, please remove jewelry from your neck and above, including necklaces and earrings, along with metal hair clips and hairpins. Rings and jewelry below the neck can stay on.
Access to the mobile unit
Your scan takes place inside our equipped van. Let us know about any mobility or access needs when arranging your appointment so we can discuss suitable arrangements before your visit.

Can you come to my home or workplace?
A dental office, home, or workplace may be an option. Availability depends on our service area and access requirements. Our team will confirm a suitable location with you. Your scan takes place inside our equipped van.
How long should I allow?
The scan itself takes about one minute. Please allow 15 to 20 minutes for your full appointment, including preparation and paperwork.
How will my dentist receive the images?
Our team can confirm how your referring dentist will receive your scan images. Your dentist will review them and discuss the findings and next steps with you.
Who pays for the scan?
Payment responsibility may belong to you or your referring doctor. Please confirm the arrangements with our team before your appointment.
